3 Days In Sydney
Sydney was our jump-off point to Fiji, so we decided to spend a few days there and see what the most populated city in Australia was all about.
We rented a car for the short time we were there, allowing us to make the most of our days. Luckily, we were there during Australia Day weekend and had a chance to celebrate (kinda) like locals do on their country’s big day. The beaches were packed all weekend, so we hopped around to a few just to check the scenes. Then we spent the afternoon at Murray Rose Pool at Double Bay Beach on the actual Australia Day.
We loved the harbour town of Woolloomooloo (where we stayed for the majority of our time) and it’s proximity to Sydney Harbour. There is a lot to see on foot in that area which gave us a little break from busy city driving.
The Bondi to Coogee Walk is a 3.5 mile (6km) oceanfront breath of fresh air along the coast. There are cafes and beautiful spots to stop off at for a swim, a rest, or just to admire the views.
If you’re into photography, the dozens of rock/ocean pools along the way make for stunning subjects - for both drone and SLR.
Though we didn’t get to see nearly as much as we would have liked to, we had a great time and saw some of the big sites we had planned to. We can’t wait until the day we can visit Sydney - and Australia - again!
If you are there for a few days, below are some places we really enjoyed and recommend.
